Passengers call plane ride ‘flight from hell’ after in flight fistacuffs
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Let’s get right to tonight’s What in the World File. RyanAir passengers call it the “flight from hell.” Ok here we go. Flight from Morocco to London made an emergency landing just 36 mins into it. Why? Because at 30,000 feet, a man asked a woman if she would switch seats with him so he could be closer to his kid. Reasonable request. the woman said no. she was sitting with her kid. He started mouthing off. I haven’t confirmed if alcohol was involved so i’ll let you be the judge. As soon as the seat belt light went off passengers started screaming at each other from across the plane!
Two men started punching each other. There was a larger group so they joined in. The lady behind the fight had a panic attack. people were screaming. Kids were crying. A snowball effect if you will.
To make matters worse, a man vomited, another man had to be given oxygen… who *then mouthed off at the very people who were helping him! They had to de-plane. Cops took about 10 people in cuffs. Meantime, during all this the flight got cancelled, and then the next morning the pilots would’ve hit their top flying hours – so a new crew had to be brought in. Delayed again. They were taken to a hotel for the night and then it was delayed again. So, back to my original question: think alcohol was involved?
