Coroner identifies detainees found dead at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- The Richland County Coroner’s office has released the identities of two detainees who died at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
The coroner has identified the person who died on Monday, as 25 year old Marty J. Brown of Columbia.
The coroner also identified a second person, who died Tuesday, as 54 year old Lamont Powell.
The coroners office and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department continue to investigate.
According to the County, the detention center is also conducting an internal investigation to determine the cause of the recent incidents.
