Charleston police need help identifying ‘Daniel Island John Doe’

Charleston, SC (ABC News) — Investigators in Charleston are hoping you can help identify a John Doe found in the area.

The skeletal remains of a black male approximately aged 17 to 21 years old known only as ‘Daniel Island John Doe’ after the location his remains were discovered in a marsh in Daniel Island back in December of 2020. Forensic experts estimate the man had been dead for over a year. So far, investigators say only the skull has been recovered and a cause of death has yet to be determined.
