KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A former Kershaw County corrections officer has been charged with misconduct in office, says SLED.

Agents say 24-year-old Kionte’ Willis Hayes was charged on Thursday, September 19, with misconduct in office after an investigation where SLED was requested by the Camden Police Department.

Hayes is accused of having sexual contact with an inmate.

SLED says the victim and witnesses told them about the incident and that is footage that substantiates the incident.

He was booked into the Kershaw County Detention Center.
