Local law enforcement packs boxes for Greg’s Groceries

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– On Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, local law enforcement agencies came together to help feed people across the Midlands.

Employees with Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union, the Columbia Police Department, and Serve and Connect held a packing event at Martin Luther King Park.

The boxes are part of the Greg’s Groceries campaign.

Named after the late Forest Acres Officer Greg Alia, Greg’s Groceries provides boxes of food to South Carolina residents in need.

There will be a state-wide packing event on October 3.
