Funeral for fallen K9 Officer set for today

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Happening today, a fallen Lee County K-9 officer will be laid to rest.

A funeral service for K9 Mikka will be held at 3pm at the El Bethel Faith Community Church in Lugoff.
According to investigators on September 20,  K9 Mikka was killed during a standoff, another deputy was injured during the standoff.
Officials say the suspect died during the standoff.
