Calhoun County teen charged in connection with fatal wreck

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Deputies in Orangeburg have charged a Calhoun County teen in connection with a fatal wreck.

Deputies say 17-year-old Elijah Hickson has been charged with 2 counts of manslaughter in connection with a crash.

According to investigators, on Tuesday, October 8, Hickson was chasing the vehicle his 18-year-old girlfriend and a 17-year-old were riding in on Neeses Highway, when their vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree.

Both victims died at the scene.

If convicted he faces up to 30 years on each count of manslaughter.
