9 men sentenced to more than 100 years in prison combined for drug trafficking, money laundering

Spartanburg, SC (WOLO) — The United States Attorney’s General office say they have sentence nine men to more than 110 years combined for their role in a Spartanburg Drug Trafficking Organization. The men now face a total of 1,275 months in prison for Drug Trafficking after authorities say they plead guilty to conspiring to distribute illegal drugs including fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine. Three additional defendants have also been convicted of money laundering.
Authorities released the names of all of the defendants involved and the time they will now spend in prison.
  • Terrance Bobo, 53, of Conyers, Georgia, was sentenced to 204 months.
  • Michael Jacobs, 40, of Spartanburg, was sentenced to 277 months.
  • Maurice Canty, 48, of Spartanburg, was sentenced to 292 months.
  • Kevin Jeter, 49, of Spartanburg, was sentenced to 172 months.
  • Shuler Holmes, 39, of Spartanburg, was sentenced to 144 months.
  • James Foster, 61, of Spartanburg, was sentenced to 72 months.
  • Daniel Gregory, 43, of Spartanburg, was sentenced to 65 months.
  • Jahid Warden, 29, of Spartanburg, was sentenced to 22 months.
  • Danny Goode, 46, of Spartanburg, was sentenced to nine months.

U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina, Adair Ford Boroughs released a statement concerning the sentences handed down Friday saying in part,

“Our community is safer thanks to this thorough investigation by our law enforcement partners.”

According to prosecutors, evidence given in court showed Terrance Bobo was a Georgia based supply source for the drug organization. According to officials Bobo began bringing in cocaine as far back as 2013 and was responsible for distributing more than  190 kilograms of cocaine by using his real estate business All in One, LLC to help conceal the trafficking ring operation. In addition to this business, prosecutors say a co-conspirator bought a car garage repair shop which was used as a stash house and distribution hub.

In November of 2023, law enforcement executed a targeted arrest operation on the drug trafficking organization and conducted searches in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia, including at the homes of Bobo, Jacobs, and Jeter. During those searches prosecutors say investigators discovered various illegal narcotics and in some cases firearms. All of the defendants will have to serve a term of court ordered supervision after they are released from prison.
