DoorDash is offering a restaurant disaster relief fund forSouth Carolina restaurants affected by Hurricane Helene.

“Recovery will be a long road for many businesses and communities,” said DoorDash spokesperson Julian Crowley in a prepared statement. “These grants are about helping local restaurants manage the unexpected costs from the disaster, and keep their doors open for years to come.”

In their release they announced that $10,000 relief grants are available to restaurants in SC who need assistance recovering from storm damage.

The grantcan be used to cover operating costs like rent or mortgage repayments, food and beverage inventory, utilities, supplies and materials and supplier costs.

According to DoorDash’s research, the average small business loses $3,000 every day they remain closed and nearly 40% of small businesses are unable to reopen at all following a disaster.

To prevent that future, restaurant owners can apply for the grant through May 30, 2025.
