Columbia PD charge man in connection with isolated stabbing incident at fast food restaurant

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Investigators with the Columbia Police Department have charged a man in connection with an isolated stabbing incident at a fast-food restaurant.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, Oct. 27, officers were dispatched to the Hardee’s on Fairfield Road regarding a fight in progress.

When they arrived, two restaurant employees and a customer were found with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe that 42-year-old Ira Grissett went to the restaurant with the intention of confronting a male employee about a personal conflict.

Grissett faces several charges including attempted murder and assault and battery.

One victim remains in the hospital.
