Deputies: Arrest made in shooting at motor sports venue
Orangeburg, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg deputies say Antonio Ferguson, 32, is charged in connection with a fatal shooting.
“I’ve said it so many times, but it is still sadly accurate,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said, “this is yet another senseless, senseless murder that arose from some kind of argument.”
Deputies say Ferguson is charged in the murder of Reggie Dantzler, 40, of Orangeburg.
Investigators say they were notified just before 6 p.m. Saturday of a shooting at the South Carolina Motorplex.
According to deputies there was an argument prior to the shooting.
Two other people were hurt in the incident.
