South Carolinians have 2 weeks left to apply for FEMA assistance following Hurricane Helene

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– FEMA is letting South Carolinians know there is only 2 weeks left to apply for FEMA assistance if you have sustained damage or losses due Hurricane Helene.

Homeowners and renters in Abbeville, Aiken, Allendale, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Cherokee, Chester, Edgefield, Fairfield, Greenville, Greenwood, Hampton, Jasper, Kershaw, Laurens, Lexington, McCormick, Newberry, Oconee, Orangeburg, Pickens, Richland, Saluda, Spartanburg, Union and York counties and the Catawba Indian Nation have until Jan. 7, 2025, to apply for federal assistance.

FEMA says the quickest way to apply is to go online to DisasterAssistance.gov.

You can also visit a Disaster Recovery Center, or apply using the FEMA App for mobile devices or by calling the toll-free number at 800-621-3362.
