Lexington Co. Coroner identifies person who died in West Columbia single-vehicle incident
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a single-vehicle accident that happened in the West Columbia area of Lexington County, said the coroner’s office.
The collision happened in the 2500 block of Charleston Highway on Friday, December 27.
According to Coroner Fisher, Terry Wainwright Mitchell Jr., 48, of West Columbia was traveling southbound on Charleston Highway when he left the right side of the roadway and hit a utility pole.
Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the City of Cayce Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident.
