Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office investigating cause of weekend fire

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–The cause of a weekend fire is being investigated by the Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office.

According to the Columbia Richland Fire Department, crews responded Sunday morning, before 5am, to Crestlite Drive off of Bluff Road for a house fire.

Firefighters say fire was coming through the roof of the home on arrival.

The home was vacant at the time of the fire and no one was injured, say officials.

According to Fire Officials, crews established a water supply, made entry into the home and got the fire under control and extinguished Sunday.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office.
