Columbia PD charge suspect for fatal shooting in 2023
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the Columbia Police Department, 19-year-old Tamir Hooks has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
He was a suspect in the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Nicholas Miller in 2023. The incident occurred on Bailey Street .
Columbia PD reports that they initially responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found Miller unresponsive.
Hooks is housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
