SC Highway Patrol investigating fatal Sumter hit-and-run

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C.C (WOLO)– South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in Sumter last week.

SC Troopers say on Friday, February 28 before 10 p.m, a pedestrian was attempting to cross U.S. Highway 15 at Lewis Road when they were hit by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.

The pedestrian later died at the hospital from their injuries.
