Funeral arrangements announced for Grammy nominated singer Angie Stone

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Funeral arrangements have been announced for Columbia-born R&B Singer Angie Stone.

Stone’s funeral will take place this Saturday, March 15, at First Nazareth Baptist Church on Gervais Street where she first began singing gospel music.

Public viewing will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. which is to be followed immediately by a celebration of her life.

The grammy nominated singer died on March 1st when the vehicle she was riding in  “flipped over and was hit by an 18 wheeler.”

She was 63-years-old at the time of her death.
