A deputy’s investigation of a vehicle’s window tint led to the arrest of someone for drug possession, says the sheriff’s office.

A Sumter County Sheriff’s Office deputy noticed a vehicle with what he believes was questionable window tinting on St. Paul’s Church Road Friday afternoon and initiated a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop, deputies saw open containers of alcohol and performed a probable cause search of the vehicle.

One of the passengers in the vehicle who was identified as Calvin Devon Sinkler was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and was arrested, say law enforcement.

He was charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking in methamphetamine, and possession of crack cocaine.

Sinkler is being held on bond.
