82-year-old man found dead, Sumter Co. deputies say

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says 82-year-old Henry Dubose was found dead.

Deputies say around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, searchers found Dubose’s body in the woods near Milford Plantation Road.

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 82-year-old man who was last in contact with his family on Sunday, said deputies.

Henry Dubose was last in contact with his family on Sunday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m., according to SCSO.

He was last seen on the morning of Monday, March 10, at the crossroads of Milford Plantation Road and Camp Mac Boykin Road in Sumter County.

Investigators said the 82-year-old was on Milford Plantation Road heading in the direction of Pinewood.

Dubose normally wears glasses, and was last seen wearing a red shirt with jeans.

Deputies said he has dementia, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Also, he lives by himself and has no cell phone.
