Newberry County deputies searching for man considered to be dangerous

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry County deputies are searching for a man they consider to be dangerous.

According to investigators, 20-year-old Landon Howell was inside a closed store on Kendall Road Sunday morning, and was chased into the woods near Bush River Road.

He was armed with a hatchet and other tools say deputies.

Howell later disappeared into the woods and discarded some of his clothes.

Deputies say Howell is also suspected in a string of crimes along the Kendall Road

corridor.

He’s 5’11 with brown hair and brown eyes.
