2 arrested in connection with Westbridge Road murder, attempted robbery
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says two people have been arrested in connection with murder and attempted robbery.
The sheriff’s department says on March 13, around 1:30 a.m. deputies responded in the 100 block of Westbridge Road in reference to multiple people being shot during an attempted robbery.
When deputies arrived to the scene, they located one person with gunshot wounds in the upper body area.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and later identified as one of the suspects in the attempted robbery.
The investigation revealed that prior to the shooting three suspects armed with guns had attempted to rob a victim while he was in his car outside his home, say investigators.
The suspects began to shoot at the victim and the victim returned fire, hitting one of the suspects, according to law enforcement.
Two of the other suspects left the area before deputies arrived.
The victim attempted to drive himself to the hospital and was located in his car not far from the crime scene before being taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Nigel Anderson was arrested on April 3, and charged with murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and attempted robbery.
He was booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Sincere Glover was arrested on April 7, and charged with murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and attempted robbery.
He was also booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
