Film production decreases in LA

(CNN)– Many may view Hollywood as the entertainment capital of the world.

However, on-location filming in Tinsletown and the surrounding areas has plunged.

That’s according to a new report from FilmLA which is in charge of film permits for Los Angeles and Los Angeles County.

The report states filming in the greater LA area decreased 22% during the first quarter of this year when compared to the same period last year.

The group says a decline was observed in all filming categories, including feature films, television, and commercials.
