Easter spending expected to rise

 

(CNN)– Easter spending is expected to be higher this year, according to a report from the National Retail Federation.

Despite economic uncertainty, shoppers plan to spend $23.6 billion dollars this Easter which is over a billion more than last year.

The bulk of the spending is done on candy which accounts for over $3billion in spending.

Those chocolate eggs might cost more this year.

The price of cocoa has been rising for several years due to crop shortages from droughts.
