Governor Henry McMaster held reception in honor of SC Travel and Tourism Week

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Next week is Travel and Tourism Week in South Carolina.

Governor Henry McMaster made the declaration this week and a reception was held on Tuesday, April 29, at the Governor’s Mansion.

According to state officials tourism generates nearly $30 billion a year for South Carolina’s economy.

Tourism leaders say they expect that trend to continue well into the future.

State tourism officials say an estimated 30 million people visit South Carolina each year.
