Midlands attorney, former state lawmaker Dick Harpootlian announces first true-crime novel

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands attorney and former state lawmaker is getting into the book business.

Tuesday, April 29, Dick Harpootlian announced the release of his first true-crime novel titled “Gig Me A Grave”.

A spokesperson says the book is a look inside Harpootlian’s pursuit of South Carolina’s most notorious serial killer, Pee-wee Gaskins.

Harpootlian’s name gained national notoriety during the trial of convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh.
