SC officials arrest three in separate SNAP fraud cases, over $100k stolen
(WCIV) — Three people have been arrested in connection to cases of fraudulently distributed Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, according to the South Carolina Department of Social Services, Office of Inspector General.
The three individuals were arrested on unrelated cases, however all three were charged with one count of Fraudulent Acquisition or Use of Food Stamps Greater than $10,000.
Shareita Johnson also known as Shareita Jenkins, 38, of Sumter County received $48,007 in fraudulent benefits and was booked at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center in Sumter SC.
Jessica Shanay Snider, 35, of Orangeburg County received $25,115 in fraudulent benefits and was booked into the Orangeburg County Detention Center.
Finally, Tabatha Brook Wyndham, 33, of Berkeley County received $34,419 in fraudulent benefits and was booked into the Berkeley County Detention Center.
