(ABC News) –In tonight’s what in the world file, the dangers of ordering on Amazon and just how easy it is. Now don’t act like you haven’t imbibed and then ordered something and had no recollection of it until the morning after.
And parents, how often do your kids take your phone and do lord knows what with it. Well, mix all that together and you get this story. A Kentucky woman was in a sticky mess when she found boxes upon boxes upon boxes of lollipops on her front doorstep. The surprise delivery was ordered by her young son while he played on her phone.
Holly Lafavers says she tried stopping 8-year-old Liam’s Amazon order for about 70,000 ‘Dum-Dum’ suckers before the treats arrived but it was too late. Amazon had already delivered 22 cases to her home. and then she checked her bank account. $4,000 dollars she said she just about fainted. Her efforts to get a refund took a bit more time but she got her money back after a lot of time with customer service. Little Liam said he wanted to have a carnival.
