Two killed in a vehicle collision on Neely Wingard Road in Lexington Co.
LEXINGTON, CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says two people were killed in a vehicle collision Sunday night.
Authorities say it happened on Neely Wingard Road at Ben Franklin Road at 8:58 p.m.
According to Sgt. Tyler Tidwell, a 2019 Jeep Laredo traveling east on Ben Franklin Road collided with a 2004 Chevy Malibu travelling south on Neely Wingard Road.
Two of the three people inside the Chevy Malibu died from their injuries.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office says the victim’s were 22-year-old Claire Ann Pierce, and 21-year-old, Eliza Jane Udy.
Pierce was pronounced dead at the scene, and Udy was later pronounced dead due to injuries received during the collision at an area hospital.
Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.
