Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz to headline SC Democratic Convention

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– A big political weekend is shaping up in Columbia. A  former vice presidential candidate will be in the Midlands.
The South Carolina Democratic Party says Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will serve as the Keynote speaker for this year’s Democratic Convention.
The convention kicks off Saturday at 8:30 am at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds.
The SC Democratic Party is also hosting the Blue Palmetto Dinner Friday night at 7pm.
Maryland Governor Wes Moore will be the keynote speaker for the dinner.
