Mike Ward projected winner in Irmo Town Council Special Election

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– We have the unofficial results from the Town of Irmo’s Special Election for a vacant council seat.
Town officials report Mike Ward is the projected winner of Tuesday’s election.
Ward, with more than 300 votes, beat out Chairman of the Irmo Events Committee George Frazier and former SCANA Executive Ed Greco.
The county election commission must certify the votes.

The seat was left vacant after former councilman Erik Sickinger resigned following an arrest.

Sickinger was facing charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
