CPD: 3 arrested in fatal Lincoln Street shooting, investigators looking for 15-year-old

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police said two teens have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at an Airbnb on Lincoln Street last Friday.

One person was killed and three others were injured. According to Chief Skip Holbrook, officers received a shots fired call at the Airbnb just after five that morning.

They later found four people who were shot multiple times. The victims included two women, and two men, all ages 17, and 18.

One of the victims who died from multiple gunshot wounds was identified by the Richland County Coroner’s Office as 18-year-old Jayden Brackins.

Police arrested a 15-year-old on Friday night, June 6, who is facing armed robbery charges.

And on Saturday, June 7, Columbia Police said 18-year-old Latrell Hughey was arrested on murder and armed robbery charges.

Columbia Police also announced that 18-year-old Asyia Bellamy was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact of a felony.

A fourth suspect, a 15-year-old is still on the loose, and faces murder, armed robbery, three counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, and possession of a firearm by person under the age of 18 charges.

CPD said additional charges and arrests in the case are anticipated.
