“Thrift the Runway” fashion show highlights sustainability and creativity

LEXINGTON, SC (WOLO) — A fashion show with reused and repurposed clothing is highlighting sustainability and creativity.

It was called “Thrift the Runway: Threads of Change,” and was hosted by Goodwill and Columbia Fashion Week.

All of the models wore looks styled entirely with pieces from a local Goodwill.

Creators say the event is a powerful reminder that fashion can be a positive impact — both environmentally and socially.

According to a representative with Goodwill, the event is another way to inspire neighbors and help them feel their best so they can do their best in all aspects of their lives.

The fashion show took place at the Goodwill on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington and was free to the public.
