COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is hosting its annual Guardians of the Night K9 5K this month.

It starts Saturday, July 19, at the State Fairgrounds.

Gates open at 7 p.m., the non-timed family run/walk starts at 8:30 and the timed 5K is at 9:30.

It’s all to raise funds to support RCSD’s K9 team.

You can still donate to the City of Columbia’s ‘On-the-Right-Foot’ clothing drive for students in Richland School Districts One and Two.

The goal is to provide 400 students with essential clothes, shoes, and personal care items before school starts.

Donations will be accepted now through August 2.

Get ready to have a peachy time at Lexington County’s 65th Peach Festival Friday.

It’s from 9 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. at the Gilbert Community Park.

You and the family can enjoy a peach parade, live music, fireworks and of course all the peaches you can eat.

It’s free to attend, but parking is $5.

Lake Wateree State Park is having their annual fireworks show Friday.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or towels to enjoy the fireworks from the day-use area.

Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase in the tackle shop.

The event starts at 5 p.m. and admission is free.
