Sumter Co. deputies say traffic stop leads to drug arrest

Sumter Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter Co. deputies say a man was arrested after drugs were found in his car after a traffic stop.

According to investigators, at 12:34am on July 16th, a deputy saw a car driving in a suspicious manor and believed the driver was impaired.
After a traffic stop, deputies say a search of the car revealed illegal prescription pills, marijuana, and liquid Promethazine Hydrochloride a drug used to treat nausea and vomiting.

Investigators say the driver, Kurvone Dow was arrested and taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
