16-year-old identified in fatal wreck on Ridgeway Rd. in Kershaw

KERSHAW CO. , S.C. (WOLO) – The Kershaw County Coroner’s Office has identified a teenager killed in a wreck on Tuesday.

Coroner David West identified the victim as Caiden Miles McGuff, 16, who was a student at Camden High School.

According to Highway Patrol, around 5 p.m., Caiden was driving a 2004 Ford Pickup truck on Ridgeway Road, when he went off the left side of the road, struck a phone box, then overturned and struck a tree.

He was transported to MUSC-Kershaw Health where he died in the ER.

Authorities say a female passenger was also taken to the hospital with injuries but her condition is unknown.

This incident remains under investigation.
