SLED Charges former Camden Military Academy Dean of Students with sex crimes against minors

Camden, S.C. (WOLO)– Officials with SLED say the former Camden Military Academy Dean of Students is charged with sex crimes against minors.
According to investigators, John Heflin is charged with disseminating harmful material to a minor, criminal sexual conduct with a minor, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The charges are related to incidents that took place in 2014 and 2022.
Officials say the victims involved in the incident were students at the military academy.
SLED had previously charged Heflin with criminal solicitation of a minor in 2024.
