Former RCSD trainee charged with DUI

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. Deputies say a former Sheriff’s Department trainee was charged with Driving Under the Influence.

A department spokesperson says around 2am Sunday, Columbia Police arrested Athena Redding-Morgan for DUI following a traffic stop.

Officials with the sheriff’s department say she was suspended without pay and terminated on Monday.

She was training to be a deputy.
