Amazon rolls out same-day delivery

(CNN)– Amazon hopes its new roll-out will streamline your online grocery shopping experience to get same-day delivery of fresh food to your door.

The online retail giant is targeting more than one thousand cities in the effort.

Perishable food items including dairy, meat, and seafood can be checked-out in the same online cart alongside other items.

Previous partnerships with local grocery stores took customers to different checkouts.

Amazon said this new service will complement its existing grocery delivery offerings.
