ElectroWire breaks ground on new facility in Lexington County

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Soon state of the art technology for heart surgery will be produced here in the Midlands.

Monday morning, Aug. 18, ElectroWire broke ground on its new facility in Lexington County.

Founded by local Cardiologist Doctor Robert Leonardi, ElectroWire will manufacture an  electrosurgical system aimed at improving the safety, precision, and efficiency of catheter-based cardiac surgery.

Officials say production at ElectroWire will get underway next year.
