Local Living: OCSO’s back-to-school bash, boat rally against breast cancer, Main Street Latin Festival, Vintage Market Days

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with Williams and Williams Attorneys at Law to host a back-to-school bash.

The event kicks off Tuesday, August 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Russell Street.

There will be free food, free haircuts, community vendors, and school supplies at the free event.

 

The greater Chapin Chamber of Commerce says the inaugural boat rally against Breast Cancer is this Saturday, August 23.

It starts at 10 in the morning at Martin’s Landing with a silent auction, a boat decorating contest and more.

All proceeds go towards the Pledge the Pink Foundation which supports under and uninsured women fighting Breast Cancer.

Registration costs range from $50 to $100.

 

The City of Columbia is hosting their annual Main Street Latin Festival.

The event is Saturday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the 1300 and 1400 blocks of Main Street.

You can enjoy a wide range of latin food, art, live music, and so much more.

Plus it’s free to attend.

 

Vintage Market Days is having a fall event next week.

You can shop for clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home decor, and more.

The event takes place August 29 through August 31 at the state fairgrounds.
