Halloween spending to hit $13 billion

 

 

 

(CNN)– Americans are known to go all out for Halloween, and this year won’t be any different.

According to the National Retail Federation’s annual consumer survey Americans are expected to spend an average of $114 per person this Halloween.

That adds up to about $13.1 billion a record high.

Candy is of course a popular purchase with total spending expected to reach 3.9 billion.

The survey finds Americans will spend more than $4 billion dollars on decorations.

Spending on costumes will also exceed $4 billion.
