Publix ice cream recalled over allergen

(CNN)– Check your freezers, Publix has issued a voluntary recall of one of its store brand flavors of ice cream.

The grocery chain says its ‘rich and creamy vanilla ice cream’ may contain an undeclared egg allergen.

The recalled ice cream may also contain a mismatch “french vanilla” container lid.

The product is sold in half gallon containers and has a sell by date of June 19, 2026.

It was distributed at Publix stores across six states in the Southeast including South Carolina.

Publix says there have been no reports of illness.

Customers can return the product to the store for a full refund.
