Election Night 2025– Rickenmann wins re-election as Columbia mayor, City Council At-large seat ends in runoff
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Election results are as follows as of 11:10 p.m. Tuesday night:
Mayor Daniel Rickenmann has won re-election as mayor of Columbia. He has served as mayor since 2022.
Councilwoman Aditi Bussells and Sam Johnson received 43% and 47%, respectively, meaning a runoff will be needed to determine the victor. A candidate must receive at least 50% of the votes to be declared the winner.
Incumbent Councilwoman Tina Herbert has won her seat for City Council District 1 with around 63% of the votes.
Incumbent Councilman Peter Brown has also won his race for District 4 over challengers Julie Lumpkin and Ashley McCall.
