Ford creates new design for car showrooms

(CNN)– Ford is working on a new design for its dealerships with a focus on more hospitality and less sales pressure.

They want it to feel less like a dealership, and more like a hotel.

The design is called ‘Ford Signature 2.0’.

The automaker has built a simulation lab in Michigan featuring the new dealership design.

The goal is for all of Ford’s nine-thousand dealerships worldwide to eventually adopt the concept.

The project involves new art and furniture, as well as training to help dealership staff work within the new environment.
