SC Secretary of State recognizes charities in the state
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– When donating to charities during the holiday season, it is important to know that your money is going to the right place.
Wednesday morning, Nov. 19, Secretary of State Mark Hammond unveiled this year’s angel awards.
Each year Hammond’s office recognizes charities that use at least 80% of their contributions for charitable services, have been in existence for three years or more, make good use of volunteer assistance, and do not rely heavily on government grants.
This year’s honorees include Ezekiel Ministries, located right here in Columbia.
