1 dead, 1 injured in shooting on Garner’s Ferry Road
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured on Friday night.
Just before midnight, deputies were dispatched to the 7600 block of Garner’s Ferry Road in response to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies say they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. EMS arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital.
While circulating the immediate area for additional evidence, deputies say another male victim was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Deputies say they initiated life-saving measures and requested EMS. After EMS arrived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
