Two face multiple gun, drug charges after traffic stop

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County investigators say two people are facing multiple gun, and drug charges after a traffic stop.
Sheriff Jay Koon says Jonathon Shockley, and Emily Gomez were arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 1, after a traffic stop on I-20 around mile marker 47.
He also says during the traffic stop deputies found 166 grams of fentanyl and a handgun in the car.
Then, investigators with the Lexington County Multi-agency Narcotics Enforcement Team obtained a search warrant for Shockley’s home, according to the sheriff.
During the search of the home, fentanyl. methamphetamine, cocaine, scheduled prescription medication, marijuana, and multiple bags of additional suspected opioids were found inside.
Investigators also seized over $76,000 and multiple guns.
Shockley was charged with two counts of trafficking fentanyl, two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute schedule IV drugs, and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Gomez was charged with trafficking fentanyl, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Shockley and Gomez have been released from the Lexington County Detention Center after meeting conditions of their bond.
