SCDEW: SC Job numbers delayed due to govt shutdown

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The SC Department of Employment and Workforce says the recent federal government shutdown has delayed monthly employment reporting.

Thursday, Dec. 11, the department released data on the September job numbers for South Carolina.

According to officials, in September the state’s jobless rate increased slightly to 4.4%.

The number of people working in the state increased to more than 2.4 million.
