Driver dead after two-vehicle collision in Lexington

 

 

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Highway Patrol says a driver is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Lexington on Saturday.

According to troopers, before 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, a Dodge Ram traveling west on Muddy Springs Road hit a Cadillac sedan traveling east/

The collision caused the Ram driver to run off the road and hit a tree.

The sedan driver died at the hospital from their injuries while the Dodge Ram driver was also taken to the hospital with injuries.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has released the victim’s identity as Michael Leon Rather, 62, of Lexington.
