One SC Fund helps tens of thousands

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Monday, Dec. 22, officials with the South Carolina State Guard announced the results of operation One-South Carolina.

Governor Henry McMaster announced the activation of the One-SC Fund during the government shutdown and the threat of families losing snap benefits.

The One-SC Fund provides a coordinated philanthropic response to state emergencies.

According to the guard, more than 24 thousand families and more than 16 thousand individuals were helped as a result.
